Hi there! I’m Julia, and I am a record keeper.

I work with change-makers, visionary artists, and humans with heart.

Usually people find me when they are at a precipice in their lives – they are entering into a new phase of commitment, birthing a child or a project, honoring a threshold of grief or closure, or leaping into a new identity.

I believe that when we allow all the parts of us to come forward, more of us is available to play, contribute and construct.

Some parts need an invitation to be seen, and that’s what I am here for.

I am a documentarian and visual artist, fusing authentic expression with surrealism to create atmospheres, inviting intimacy and play.



Photography is my great love, and I see that is has the power of making our essence visible.

It can help us communicate the gifts we are here to offer, and can anchor a moment in time. It helps to put images to the feelings or words of our experience.

And, being seen can be scary, yet ultimately can help us to feel sane, and help us to remember aspects of who we are and what we hold as important.



I create spaces of permission to bring out what’s underneath.

I create permission for sensuality, creativity, grief, nudity, connection, fear, ridiculousness and hold your core intentions while making space for emergence.

I am a space holder and record keeper in service to humans rising up more rooted, connected to the Earth and each other.

I believe that my liberation is bound up in yours.

Here is how it works…

  1. If you think you would like photos but have no idea how that could look, book at 15 minute discovery call with me.

  2. If you are ready to book, schedule a 30 minute discovery call with me to talk through the vision and logistics

  3. We’ll have a conversation about your intention for the shoot, what you hope to use the photos for, any aesthetic visions and parameters. I am based in the North Bay and travel all around the San Francisco Bay Area and internationally for work.

  4. On the day of the shoot, we will ‘set the scene’…. be it with a ritual that we craft for the shoot itself, an immersion into your favorite nature spot or to play with some concepts that are part of your current inquiry and require some props. I will hold the time and your intention, and make space for emergence.

PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGES

THE CONCEPT SHOOT

This photography package is ideal for exploring creative concepts that involve props, multiple outfit changes, and for those who want a more diverse gallery of images to work, which will require additional curation before and during the process.

  • 2-3 hour shoot

  • up to two locations

  • up to 20 min driving between locations

  • a 40 minute planning meeting prior to the shoot

  • a conceptual mood board to guide us artistically

  • ritual and intention setting day of shoot

  • You will receive 40-45 of the best photos edited in a digital gallery for you to keep within 7 days of the shoot.

THE SPACIOUS ONE

This shoot package is ideal for maternity, engagement/elopement, and for creative portraits. Need new images of yourself and other photos for your website, but want something more creative than your regular headshot? We will combine our creative powers to find the right setting, tone and wardrobe for your needs.

  • 90 min shoot

  • 1 location

  • a 40 minute planning meeting prior to the shoot

  • One fully fleshed out concept and/or up to three simple wardrobe changes.

  • wardrobe consultations (you can send me photos of your outfits!).

  • You will receive 30-35 of the best photos edited in a digital gallery within 7 days of the shoot.

THE STUDIO SHOOT

This photography package is ideal for headshots and exploring a simple theme within the rage of 2-3 outfits. It will take place in my home studio in Sebastopol, CA. We can work with a range of lighting, from natural light to colored hues.

  • One Hour shoot

  • Inside my home studio in Sebastopol, CA

  • Natural and curated lighting

  • a 40 minute planning meeting prior to the shoot

  • Time for 2-3 wardrobe changes, and I am available for consultations (you can send me photos of your outfits!).

  • You will receive 20-25 of the best photos edited in a digital gallery within 7 days of the shoot.

Live Event Photography

As a documentary filmmaker, I approach photographing events through a storytelling lens.

I love being at live events because the energy is always moving. I blend in and prioritize following moments of true feeling, expression, and connection. I document the details that help stitch the scene together, as well as the human moments that are equally raw and beautiful, candid and heart centered.

I photograph weddings, house concerts, holidays, births, bnai mitzvahs, ritual theatre performances, retreats and more. I am available for custom-made events.

Wedding packages begin at $3,000. All live event rates depend on the length and scope of the experience.

My approach is to allow flexibility for all kinds of budgets while making my work sustainable. Our exchange is far more than monetary, and in some cases will consider trades for goods or services! I also take credit cards and payment plans.
